MDA distributes worldwide data from DigitalGlobe's QuickBird Earth-observation satellite in Canada and the United States.

QuickBird was successfully launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on a Boeing Delta II launch vehicle on October 18th, 2001. DigitalGlobe released the first QuickBird images on December 17, 2001.

The QuickBird satellite is equipped with a high resolution optical sensor that provides high resolution multispectral (2.4m resolution) and panchromatic (0.6m resolution) imagery of the earth, and offers the following key features and benefits:

MDA's dedicated team is positioned to ensure total client satisfaction for QuickBird clients. Our team is complimented by a state-of-the-art softcopy photogrammetry facility, which we will use to generate QuickBird products including orthorectified imagery, mosaics, and derived information. Operated 15 hours per day, 5 days per week, this capability can meet the most demanding product and schedule needs.
