MDA Geospatial Services Inc. is pleased to welcome Collecte Localisation Satellites of France to its worldwide network of distributors and ground stations. CLS, with its headquarters in Toulouse, now receives and processes synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data from the RADARSAT-1 and 2 satellites at the VIGISAT ground station located in Brest, France.

The MDA-supplied VIGISAT ground station is dedicated to the real-time acquisition of satellite SAR data for maritime and land applications. Construction of the station began in May 2009 and the first acquisition was received in mid-August 2009, with station and product certification granted in September 2009.

CLS distributes RADARSAT-1 and 2 products throughout France and the rest of the European Union.
