InSAR Marks a Shift in Ground Movement Monitoring
 




RADARSAT-1 and aerial imagery reveal the IPGMS project's Washington study site on the north shore of the Columbia River, along the Washington and Oregon borders. Land deformation is threatening an underground pipeline and a nearby road. Approximately 2 centimeters of movement was measured last year, and a nearby road showed severe cracking.
