RADARSAT-1 Captures Bay of Bengal Oil Spill

This RADARSAT-1 image acquired August 19th, 2006 shows oil spilled in the Bay of Bengal (India) after a Japanese tanker collided with a small Indian vessel 470 km west of the Nicobar and Andaman Archipelago. Over 4,500 tonnes of oil was spilled into the Indian Ocean.
