EarthView OpenEV
Obtaining Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery comes in a variety of formats, many of which are not
recognized by standard viewers. OpenEV was developed as a free application and reference library for
viewing and analyzing raster and vector geospatial data, with an emphasis on making SAR imagery display
flexible and intuitive. The viewer was designed to rapidly display very large images, and can manage
multiple layers of vector data and single- or multi-channel raster data. Display of complex data such
as RADARSAT-2's single look complex (SLC) product, is supported, with magnitude, phase, magnitude-phase,
real component, and imaginary component display modes available. EarthView® OpenEV is used as a basis
for the viewing capabilities of the EarthView Remote Sensing Software Suite.
