The Red/Green/Blue (RGB) composite of the Puyehue ash cloud, shown in the image inset, was generated using RADARSAT-2 images collected three days apart, on June 8 and June 11, 2011. Significant natural phenomena, such as volcanic events, may be monitored reliably by multiple RADARSAT collections and delivered in Near Real Time to first responders and decision makers alike.
